AVVAI VILLAGE WELFARE SOCIETY shortly known as "Avvai" was initiated on 6th February 1978. It works among children, women, elders and disaster affected in the sectors of education, child rights & child protection, preprimary education, health, women empowerment, de-addiction, elder care, micro insurance, disaster risk management, watershed and climate change adaptation. The organization was registered under Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in the year 1978. It works in Nagapattinam ,Thiruvarur and Thiruvallur District of Tamil Nadu and Karaikal & Puducherry region of Puducherry UT.
